Voting Now Open for the 2025 Rowdy Awards

DENVER – Voting is underway for the 2024 Rowdy Awards.

DENVER – Voting is underway for the 2024 Rowdy Awards.
 
This is the chance for the public to vote for award winners from the past academic year for MSU Denver Athletics.
 
Awards based on voting will be presented for: Top Performance of the Year, Defensive Performance of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and The Rowdy Award.

TOP PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR: 

  • MT&F: KENNY GREENE WINS GOLD MEDAL IN 200 METERS – RMAC CHAMPIONSHIPS 

  • WT&F: SOWELL GOLD IN OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD 

  • VBALL: RILEY ANDERSON WINS RMAC TOURNAMENT MVP, AVG: 11K, 7D, 3BLKS 

  • BSB: CAM YURAN BREAKS THE HOME RUN RECORD 

  • XC: MIA SALAS FINISHES 33RD AT REGIONALS AND EARNS TRIP TO THE NATIONAL MEET. 

    NOTES

  • Greene earned a time of 21.69, broke the school record 

  • Sowell earned a time of 54.30 in the 400-meter dash during the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, a new personal record

  • Anderson logged 21 kills, 14 digs, and 5 blocks across the two wins in the RMAC tournament 

  • Yuran hit home run no. 50 against Adams State, breaking the previous record held by Zach Schuler 

  • Salas placed 33rd in the 6k event at the NCAA Regionals, with a time of 23:09.2 

TOP DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE: 

  • BASEBALL: CAM YURAN ROBS REGIS OF GRAND SLAM 

  • WOMEN'S SOCCER: KYLIE BACH PENALTY KICK SAVE VS WESTMINSTER 

  • VOLLEYBALL: ABBIE MCCRIMMON REACHES 1,000 DIGS WHILE AVG 25/DIGS/GM IN REGIONAL TOURNAMENT 

  • SOFTBALL: NATALIE ROMERO HAVING AN OUTSTANDING SOPHOMORE SEASON FROM THE CIRCLE 

  • WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: MIKYLAH ESPINOSA LEADS THE RMAC WITH 3.7 STEALS PER GAME. 

    NOTES

  • Romero currently ranks 2nd in the RMAC with a 1.67 ERA and has a 16-3 record 

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR: 

  • VBALL: ALYSSA BOYTE 

  • MBBALL: BRAYDEN CARTER 

  • WBBALL: NAVAEH MILLARD – ALL-RMAC HM AS A FRESHMAN 

  • BSB: EASTON AMUNDSON 

  • GOLF: IZABELLA PESICKA 

  • MTEN: LLUC LIMONGI OLLERS 

    NOTES

  • Boyte led team in blocks with 159, and ranked 5th on the team in kills with 159 as a Freshman 

  • Carter led his team with 238 total rebounds, while averaging 8.2 per game, good enough for the second-most in the league. His 86 offensive rebounds led the RMAC by a wide margin. First team All-RMAC selection 

  • Millard tied with Mikayla Espinosa for team lead in points scored, each posting 287 points on the season. Millard also ranked second on the team in steals (38) She was third on the team in 3-pointers made, with 24. 

  • Amundson currently leads the RMAC in home runs with 23, just two shy of the program record set in 2019. Also leads team in RBIs with 58 

  • Pesicka placed top 10 individually at the Wasatch Invitational, also placed 22nd overall the SMSU Classic 

  • Ollers led the team with 18 wins on the season playing from the no. 1 spot.
