@MSUDenverBSB: Roadrunners Unable to Take Series Against Adams State

ALAMOSA, Colo. — The MSU Denver Roadrunners dropped the final game of the series against the Adams State Grizzlies Sunday afternoon by a score of 8-6.

ALAMOSA, Colo. — The MSU Denver Roadrunners dropped the final game of the series against the Adams State Grizzlies Sunday afternoon by a score of 8-6. 

The Roadrunners are now 15-15 overall and 7-5 in RMAC play. The Grizzlies improve to 13-21 overall and 9-7 in conference play. 

Erubiel Ortiz logged four hits in his five at-bats on the day and was the only Roadrunner with a multi-hit game.

MSU Denver stared down an 8-1 deficit headed into the ninth inning and would string together five runs to make it a close contest but could not pull off the comeback. 

Jesse Velders had a two-RBI single, followed up by an Andrew Graham three-run blast to left to score Velders and Ortiz. 

The Roadrunners bullpen gave up just two runs in the final four-plus innings with the combination of Haydn Benoit, Nick Vilims, and Carter Swan
