DENVER -- MSU Denver Roadrunners senior outfielder Cam Yuran continues to rack in the weekly honors after his torrid weekend at the plate, and has been named the NCBWA South Central Region Hitter of the Week.

After being named RMAC Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon, Yuran follows it up with a Regional Hitter of the Week award. He now has a chance to be recognized as one of the National Players of the Week. This is the first time this season a Roadrunner baseball player has been named a Regional Player of the Week.

Yuran had an unbelievable weekend at the plate, going 11-for-15 with 6 HR's, 13 RBIs, 15 runs, 5 walks, and 2 stolen bases. He belted two home runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Denver native has reached base safely in his last 30 games and has raised his batting average to .426 on the year, which ranks second in the RMAC, only trailing teammate Andrew Graham who is hitting .465 on the season. He does lead the conference in four other statistical categories while also ranking inside the top-5 for others.

Yuran leads the RMAC in OBP (.582), OPS (1.556), runs (62), and walks (44). He also ranks 2nd in SLG (.974), 4th in RBIs (52), and 3rd in HR's (17).
