@MSUDenverBSB: Roadrunners Win Big Game One, Will Continue Game Two Tomorrow with CSU Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners took down the CSU Pueblo Thunder Wolves Friday afternoon in game one of the doubleheader by a score of 13-3, and played one inning of the second game that will continue play tomorrow afternoon due to weather.

PUEBLO, Colo. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners took down the CSU Pueblo Thunder Wolves Friday afternoon in game one of the doubleheader by a score of 13-3, and played one inning of the second game that will continue play tomorrow afternoon due to weather.

With the win, the Roadrunners move to 25-16 overall and 17-6 in conference play. They have won 10 of their last 11 contests. 

MSU Denver allowed just three runs on the way to victory, with Brad Helton and Haydn Benoit shutting down the the Thunder Wolves. 

Helton got the start and the win, going five innings allowing three runs on six hits while striking out seven. Benoit went a masterful four innings, not allowing a run or a single hit while also striking out seven batters. He also notched a save, his first of the season. 

Andrew Biddle, Cam Yuran, Andrew Graham, and Brooks Rasmussen all recorded a three-hit game, accounting for 12 of the 15 Roadrunners hits. 

Graham had the only big fly in the game, while going 3-for-4 with a team high five RBIs while also notching two runs. 

After earning National Hitter of the Week honors, Yuran continued his hot streak going 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBIs. He was also just a home run shy of the cycle. 

Biddle went 3-for-6 from the leadoff spot with three runs and an RBI. 

UP NEXT
The Roadrunners were able to start game two and held a 4-3 lead in the first inning before it had to be moved to tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. MT where they will resume play in the first inning.
