ALAMOSA, Colo. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners posted another double-digit scoring performance Saturday afternoon in their game one win over Adams State (11-4), but would fall in game two to the Grizzlies by a score of 8-7.

ALAMOSA, Colo. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners posted another double-digit scoring performance Saturday afternoon in their game one win over Adams State (11-4), but would fall in game two to the Grizzlies by a score of 8-7.

The Roadrunners are now 15-14 overall and 7-4 in the RMAC, while the Grizzlies move to 12-21 overall and 8-7 in conference play.

Despite the game two loss, the highlight of the afternoon was senior outfielder Cam Yuran capturing the program home run record with big fly No. 50 in the sixth inning, his second on the day.

He passes former teammate Zach Schuler for the top spot in the record books after Schuler set the record last season with 49 homers. He also broke the all-time runs record for MSU Denver earlier this campaign and has 230 and counting.

Yuran is still chasing multiple Roadrunner records with 21 regular season games left to play in his collegiate career. He is 5th in hits (231), 3rd in RBIs (195), 2nd in walks (148), and 8th in games played with 181 so far. He went 3-for-4 on the day with four runs, three walks, and two RBIs.

Jesse Velders also had a home run in each contest today, and is up to four in the series after belting two in yesterday's win. He went 3-for-6 in both games with four RBIs and three runs. Velders also extends his hitting streak to 11 games.

It was Andrew Graham who knocked in the go-ahead runs for MSU Denver in game one, thanks to a two-RBI triple in the fourth inning to put the Roadrunners up 3-2, a lead they would build on the rest of the way. Graham later hit a two-run homer of his own, bringing him to four RBIs in the contest. Easton Amundson followed up Graham's shot the very next at-bat with a home run of his own, his 15th of the season.

Dylan Webber earned the game one win for the Roadrunners after providing six effective innings on the mound, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out three. It was his first start of the season, and he moves to 1-0.

After trailing 6-1 early on in game two, the Roadrunners managed to inch all the way back and even take the lead thanks to Yuran's solo shot in the sixth, but the Grizzlies responded back with a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning to regain the lead and would close the door on MSU Denver in the seventh for the win. Gavin Schmeh clobbered his first home run of the season with a two-run shot in the fourth inning.
