@MSUDenverBSB: Seven Roadrunners Named to All-RMAC Teams
DENVER — The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2025 All-Conference teams Wednesday morning, which tabbed seven MSU Denver Roadrunners on the All-RMAC first, second, and Gold Glove squads.
Andrew Graham, Cam Yuran, Jesse Velders, and Erubiel Ortiz were all named first-team All-RMAC after their incredible 2025 seasons. Yuran and Velders will look to close out their collegiate careers as they prepare to graduate this next week. Graham and Ortiz are juniors and will have one year of eligibility left after this season.
Senior Easton Amundson and juniors Gavin Schmeh, and Nolan Livsey were all chosen to the All-RMAC second team. Schmeh and Ortiz were also named to the All-RMAC Gold Glove team.
Graham was unstoppable at the plate for the Roadrunners, batting his way into the top 5 in batting average in the conference at a .429 clip, which also led MSU Denver. He hit 11 homers, with 70 RBIs, scored 61 times, and had the most doubles in the conference with 25. He ranked top 10 in the RMAC for AVG (.429), slugging (.801), OBP (.530), OPS (1.331), runs (61), hits (69), RBIs (70), doubles (25), and stolen bases (11).
Yuran soared up the rankings this season in just about every category in the program record books, ending his illustrious career with the Roadrunners. He slashed a line of .396/.550/.868 with career-high marks for slugging and on-base percentage. Yuran also set career-high numbers this season with 19 home runs and 64 RBIs. He ranked top-10 in the RMAC in slugging (.868), OBP (.550), OPS (1.418), runs (76), RBIs (64), doubles (16), and led the league with 53 walks.
The sweet-swinging lefty is now MSU Denver's all-time leader in hits (264), runs (268), RBIs (229), doubles (67), walks (170), total bases (522), slugging percentage (.761), and home runs (59).
Velders finished the regular season with a line of .371/.515/.726 in 37 games played. Despite battling thought injury during the season, he had 9 home runs, 33 RBIs, and 46 runs. His .515 on-base percentage ranked third on the team only behind Graham and Yuran. He earned RMAC Player of the Week honors in the first week of April for his four-homer performance in the series against Adams State.
Another staple at the top of the lineup for the Roadrunners was another newcomer, Erubiel Ortiz. He slashed .384/.458/.672 on the campaign with 11 home runs and 53 RBIs. Ortiz led the team with 76 hits, which ranked fourth in the RMAC.
Ortiz played the hot corner for MSU Denver this year and carried a .952 fielding percentage, making eight errors in 167 total chances.
The senior transfer, Amundson, made an immediate impact for the Roadrunners in his lone season at MSUD, belting a program record 28 home runs. He led the RMAC in home runs and was second in RBIs with 74. He slashed a line of .331/.433/.895 and his slugging percentage ranks second all-time for a Roadrunner in an individual season.
The slick fielding captain of the infield, Schmeh, carried a .333 batting average with a .409 on-base percentage and a .957 OPS. He knocked in 38 runs with five homers and stole six bags for the Roadrunners. He had a record-setting game at the plate in MSU Denver's 36-7 win over Colorado Christian on April 12. Schmeh hit for the cycle, going 6-for-7 with 2 HRs, 2 doubles, five runs, and nine RBIs. He tied the school record for hits, RBIs, and total bases in a single game.
Schmeh made just six errors at shortstop in 124 total chances, ending the season with a .952 fielding percentage. He also turned 15 double plays.
Junior lefty Nolan Livsey led the Roadrunners with eight wins on the season and was tabbed with just two losses. He struck out 51 batters in 274 batters faced and held his opponent's batting average to .352.
