@MSUDenverMBB: Balanced Offensive Attack Leads Roadrunners To Win

DENVER – Th MSU Denver men's basketball team defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday night 88-77 to move to 3-0 overall to start the season.

DENVER – Th MSU Denver men's basketball team defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday night 88-77 to move to 3-0 overall to start the season.
 
The Roadrunners had five players in double-figures led by Jamil Safieddine off of the bench with 19 points.  Brayden Carter and Logan Threatt each added 19 and 11 points, respectively.  KJ Garrett and Sufyan Elkannan both contributed 10 points in the MSU Denver victory.  The Roadrunners shot a 54.9 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from three-point range for the game.
 
Caleb McGill was a monster on the glass grabbing 15 rebounds as MSU Denver out-rebounded Texas A&M-Kingsville 44-24 in the game.
 
MSU Denver jumped out to a 13-point lead just over eight minutes into the game after a three-point basket by Ryan Maslow made the score 23-10.  Texas A&M-Kingsville would slowly work their way back into the game and would cut the Roadrunners lead to as few as two before going into halftime trailing by four, 41-37.
 
Texas A&M-Kingsville would tie the game at 41-41 coming out of halftime.  MSU Denver responded with a 7-0 run in under 1:30 to take the lead and never look back.  The Roadrunners would extend the lead to as much as 13 in the second half, allowing Texas A&M-Kingsville to get as close as three points but never relinquish the lead.
 
MSU Denver will travel to Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday, November 20.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.
