MSU Denver Places Sixth in the RMAC All-Sports Cup
COLORADO SPRINGS — MSU Denver has finished sixth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's All-Sports Cup, the annual competition that purports to determine the 15-team league's strongest programs.
Schools are awarded points based on their position in the standings and the number of teams that participate in the sport. In addition to the five core sports (men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, women's soccer and football or men's soccer), three "wild-card" sports for both men and women and added to determine the final position in the standings.
Typically, schools with multiple sports programs and/or the strongest cross country/track & field programs, do well in the standings.
MSU Denver claimed the RMAC regular season title and won the RMAC tournament for women's volleyball. Baseball and softball both made the NCAA Tournament, the first time in school history they both made the tournament in the same season. It was the first time for softball since 2016, and the third time in the last four years for baseball.
