DENVER — The MSU Denver Roadrunners men's and women's tennis programs took care of business on senior day Friday afternoon, with both teams taking down Colorado Mesa.

The men improve to 10-12 overall and the women move to 11-12 overall. It is the men's last match of the regular season as they now look ahead to the Pacific West Conference Championship.

The women will take on CSU Pueblo Saturday morning at 10 a.m. MT for their final regular season match.

MEN
The doubles point belonged to Colorado Mesa, after they clinched two courts off the bat, but it was all Roadrunners in singles play.

Three of the six courts went to a full three sets while Alejandro Jimenez (6-1, 6-2), Hector Cerbian Moral (6-2, 6-4), Maximo Lawlor (6-4, 6-4) all won their matches in two sets.

Marco Jalalian and Lluc among Ollers both fell behind quickly, with each losing their first set. Jalalian went 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 for a win and Ollers went 2-6, 7-6, 6-1 for a huge comeback win.

Alessandro Munoz won 6-1, 4-6, 12-10 in another nail biting showdown.

WOMEN
Just like the men, Colorado Mesa kicked things off by winning the doubles point on two of three courts.

It was another close match up, as four of the six singles matches went three sets.

Three of the four Roadrunner wins went the full three sets. Hanna Haber (6-3, 7-6, 7-6), Victoria Ricaurte Cabas (4-6, 6-2, 6-3), and Kambra Roles (1-6, 7-5, 6-1) all went the distance to secure the match for MSU Denver.

Monica Guarin won the other match 6-1, 7-5, over Ballon Marin for the fourth Roadrunners point.
