Roadrunners Take Down Hawaii-Hilo in a 4-0 Sweep
COLORADO SPRINGS – The Roadrunners cap off a successful weekend down in the springs, winning both of their matches against Hawaii-Hilo without dropping a single game.
MSU Denver took down Hawaii-Hilo 4-0 Saturday morning. They won each of their three games in doubles by a score of 6-4.
"Another strong performance from the boys," head coach Bruno Campos said. "Back-to-back conference wins is a great achievement, but we're staying locked in. Hawaii Hilo is a top 5 team in the PacWest, and I'm proud of how we stepped up. The season is a marathon, not a sprint, so we keep pushing, keep improving, and get ready for what's next."
Lluc Limongi, Alejandro Jimenez, and Marco Jalalian were the three singles match wins to clinch the Roadrunners' win. Limongi and Jimenez took down their foes in two sets, while Jalalian got the job done in three.
Alessandro Munoz was on his way to a win, but not before the Red and Blue completed the sweep.
MSU Denver moves to 6-7 overall on the season and are now 2-0 in Pac-West conference play.
