DENVER – Roadrunners basketball is back home in downtown Denver this week, while the Indoor Track and Field squad will head out to Colorado Springs this weekend.

DENVER – Roadrunners basketball is back home in downtown Denver this week, while the Indoor Track and Field squad will head out to Colorado Springs this weekend. 
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Western Colorado vs MSU Denver, Thursday, 6:00 p.m.
Westminster vs MSU Denver, Saturday, 1:00 p.m.
 
The Roadrunners are coming off a 1-1 weekend falling to Fort Lewis in Durango before defeating Adams State in Alamosa. Freshman guard Navaeh Millard twice broke her season-high in scoring this weekend. She first piled up 15 points against the Skyhawks before racking up 19 points in the victory over the Grizzlies. MSU Denver is back in town this week and will first take on Western Colorado on Thursday night. The Mountaineers are 5-3 overall with a 1-1 record in the RMAC after beating Colorado Christian and falling to CSU Pueblo. Then the women's basketball team will host Westminster on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins are 1-7 on the season with an 0-2 mark in conference play. 
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL

Westminster vs MSU Denver, Saturday, 3:00 p.m.
 
The Roadrunners went 2-0 this past weekend by defeating Fort Lewis and Adams State on the road. Four different Roadrunners reached double figures in points against the Skyhawks, which included a team-high 16 points from junior Jamil Safieddine. Against the Grizzlies, MSU Denver was able to overcome nine first-half three-pointers by ASU to come away with their second RMAC win. The men's basketball team is back home this weekend, as they welcome in Western Colorado (1-1 RMAC) on Thursday before taking on Westminster (1-1 RMAC) on Saturday afternoon.

The Roadrunners competed in their first meet of the season this past weekend, taking part in the Mines Alumni Classic in Golden. On Friday, we saw senior Jocelyn Korbe break the school record in the high jump, reaching 1.53 meters, breaking her own record of 1.49. Korbe finished fifth overall in the pentathlon with a score of 3,005 points, which is also a new program record. Sophomore Isaiah Williams led the way on Saturday breaking the Roadrunners record in the high jump clearing 2.00 meters. Head coach Janis Christopher plans to bring the throwers, the jumpers and a few mid-distance runners to Colorado Springs this weekend.
