This Week in Roadrunners Athletics
DENVER – Our indoor track and field teams will be competing at the RMAC Championships in Colorado Springs this weekend.
INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
RMAC Championships – Friday and Saturday – Colorado Springs, Colorado
Head coach Janis Christopher will be bringing her men's and women's teams to Colorado Springs for the RMAC Championships this weekend. Kenny Greene (200M & 400M), Naleia Sowell and Maya Ries lead the way for the squads as they look to bring home some hardware for the Roadrunners. The squad has five sprinters alone in the men's 60-meter hurdles. Greene has aspirations of reaching the podium for both the men's 200 and 400 meters.
SOFTBALL
MSU Denver at Adams State, Saturday (Noon doubleheader) & Sunday (11 a.m. doubleheader)
The Roadrunner are coming off a 2-2 weekend after splitting their series with RMAC foe Colorado Mesa. This week they'll head south to Alamosa to battle the Grizzlies from Adams State. MSU Denver is 10-6 on the season and 5-2 in the RMAC. ASU is 1-7 overall with a 0-4 mark in conference play.
BASEBALL
Sioux Falls vs MSU Denver, Saturday (Noon doubleheader), Sunday (Noon), Monday (Noon)
Head coach Ryan Strain and his squad will be back at home this weekend taking on Sioux Falls for a four-game set. The Roadrunners split their previous series 2-2 with the University of Mary at the Assembly Athletic Complex last weekend. The Roadrunners are 3-8 on the season, while the Cougars are 4-5. Coach Strain currently sits at 199 career wins as the head coach for MSU Denver.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo, Thursday, 5:30 p.m.
MSU Denver at Colorado Christian, Saturday, 1 p.m.
Head coach Tanya Haave will lead the Roadrunners into their final weekend of 2025. They will first take on the Thunderwolves of CSU Pueblo, who have an 11-7 record in the RMAC. MSU Denver will finish the season with a date with Colorado Christian on Saturday. The Cougars are 7-11 in conference play.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
MSU Denver at Colorado Christian, Saturday, 3 p.m.
RMAC Tournament, Quarterfinals, Tuesday, 6 p.m.
The Roadrunners will finish out the regular season with dates against CSU Pueblo and CCU this weekend. After going 1-1 last week, which included an overtime thriller against Regis, the men's team will look to secure the No. 2 seed for the RMAC Tournament next week. Head coach Dan Ficke and his squad have already secured a first-round playoff game at home next Tuesday at 6 p.m. They will find out their opponent once the regular season comes to a close on Saturday night.
MEN'S & WOMEN'S TENNIS
MSU Denver vs Emporia State, Friday, Lubbock, Texas
MSU Denver at Lubbock Christian, Saturday, Lubbock, Texas
MSU Denver vs Texas Permian Basin, Sunday, Lubbock, Texas
The Roadrunners will head to Texas to continue non-conference play this week. The men's team is coming off two wins against Colorado College and Barton County Community College last week in Colorado Springs. The women also went 2-0 against those same opponents. This week the Roadrunners will venture to Lubbock Christian, the host site for all three games.
