@MSUDenverWGOLF: Roadrunners Tied for Fifth After Opening Round

PUEBLO, Colo. – Callie Burns shot a 7-over-par 79 to lead the MSU Denver women's golf team into a tie for fifth place after the first round of the Proal Invitational.

PUEBLO, Colo. – Callie Burns shot a 7-over-par 79 to lead the MSU Denver women's golf team into a tie for fifth place after the first round of the Proal Invitational.
 
Burns, who closed her round with an eagle on the 475-yard, par-5 seventh hole, is tied for 17th individually.
 
The second and final round is Tuesday.
 
MSU Denver compiled a four-player team score of 33-over 321 on the 5,811-yard Pueblo Country Club course. The Roadrunners are five strokes out of fourth place in the 11-team field.
 
Mackenzie Carpenter and Lauren Mack are both tied for 23rd at 8-over, while Izabella Pesicka is tied for 31st at 10-over.
