@MSUDenverWGOLF: Roadrunners Soar in Day Two, Finish Third at SMSU Classic
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The MSU Denver Roadrunners wrapped up the SMSU Classic Tuesday afternoon, placing third overall with a team score of +81.
This is the best team finish for the Roadrunners this season. Their previous best was a 5th place finish at the CSU Pueblo Fall Invitational.
MSU Denver was led by Ainsley Stover (+18) and Callie Burns (+18) who both placed fifth individually. They ended with a score +11 after playing on Monday, and each went +7 in round two to climb up 21 spots in the rankings. Izabella Pesicka (+22) had the best round two score among the Roadrunners, going +5 on the day. She climbed up 40 spots to finish 22nd overall individually.
