@MSUDenverSB: Roadrunners picked to finish third in RMAC preseason poll
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The RMAC coaches have picked the MSU Denver softball team to finish third this season in their annual preseason poll.
The Roadrunners were 43-18 overall last season and finished third in the RMAC with a 33-11 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games.
MSU Denver returns 14 players with eight of them being seniors. All-Region honoree Jenna Medhus returns after winning 12 games from the circle and pitching to 3.71 ERA. Gold Glovers Miki Berg and Katie Maney return for the 2025 season and second team All-RMAC utility player Genevieve Bower is back after hitting .370 and belting seven home runs last season.
Colorado Mesa was selected to finish first after receiving eight first-place votes. The Mavericks won the regular season title in 2024. Colorado Christian was picked to finish second after receiving two first place votes and after reaching the RMAC Tournament championship game one season ago.
The Roadrunners open the season at home on February 1, when they host Montana State-Billings at the Assembly Athletic Complex to start a four-game set.
