DENVER – Natalie Romero has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

DENVER Natalie Romero has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
 
It is the second week in a row that the Anaheim, California native was given the RMAC's weekly pitching prize.
 
Romero went 16.1 innings pitched over three games and gave up just seven earned runs against the top team in the RMAC in Colorado Christian. The sophomore started two games against the Cougars and went seven innings in both, gave up a total of three earned runs while striking out seven and earning two wins. 
 
On the season, Romero sports an impressive 1.73 ERA, which ranks first in the entire conference. She also ranks fifth in the RMAC in strikeouts with 68, she ranks third in wins with 11, ranks second in opponent batting average at .225 and is tied for first with two shutouts. 
 
Romero leads the squad into a cross-town rivalry weekend with Regis University for a four-game set starting on Saturday.
