This Week in Roadrunners Athletics
DENVER -- It's another action filled week in MSU Denver Roadrunners Athletics with baseball, softball, track and field, tennis, and golf all set to compete over the next six days.
All teams will be on the toad away from Denver this weekend, and both tennis programs along with women's golf will all be competing in their conference championships over the next week.
BASEBALL
Thursday, 4/17: MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo (3 pm MT)
Friday, 4/18: MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo (Noon MT)
Friday, 4/18: MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo (2:30 pm MT)
Saturday, 4/19: MSU Denver at CSU Pueblo (Noon MT)
Head coach Ryan Strain and his team are coming off another perfect weekend at home, where they took down fellow RMAC opponent Colorado Christian in all four games. They posted a program record 36 runs scored in game one on Saturday, and 84 runs in the series, another program record. They are currently riding an eight-game winning streak heading into this weekend.
Senior outfielder Cam Yuran was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for his incredible performance in the batter's box. This is the third RMAC baseball Player of the Week in a row for the Roadrunners after Jesse Velders and Drew Peters took home the honor the last two weeks.
Yuran had an unbelievable weekend at the plate, going 11-for-15 with 6 HR's, 13 RBIs, 15 runs, 5 walks, and 2 stolen bases. He belted two home runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Annie Van Wetzinga and her squad are fresh off a home series win over CSU Pueblo this last weekend. The Roadrunners now hold a half-game lead in the RMAC standings with a 34-10 (29-6 RMAC) overall record, as Colorado Mesa lurks in second place.
With eight conference and regular season games remaining, the Roadrunners control their own destiny with a chance to win the RMAC.
TENNIS
WOMEN Wednesday, 4/16: MSU Denver vs. Stanislaus State (10 am MT)
MEN Thursday, 4/17: MSU Denver vs. Point Loma (2 pm MT)
Head coach Bruno Campos and his two squads will play in the Pacific West conference tournament in Surprise, Arizona, over the next few days assuming they advance after round one.
The women are the no. 8 seed and are currently squaring off with the no. 9 seed Stanislaus State, if they win they will play tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. MT against Dominican.
The men are the no. 6 seed headed into the tournament, and are slated to play against the no. 3 seed Point Loma tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. MT. With a win, they would play again Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. MT.
TRACK AND FIELD
Thursday, 4/17: Mines Pre-Conference Meet
Head coach Janis Christopher and her squads will compete in the Mines Pre-Conference Meet Thursday afternoon, before the RMAC Outdoor Championships next weekend.
Lushous Davis and Isaiah Williams both recroded school records during last weekend's meets.
Davis placed third but in the women's hammer and tossed a high of 51.21 meters. Williams had a jump of 2.02 meters in the men's high jump, placing fifth overall in the event.
WOMEN'S GOLF
Sunday, 4/20 - Tuesday, 4/22: RMAC Championship
The women's golf team will compete in the RMAC Championship over a three day period, starting on this coming Easter Sunday. They will play in Boulder City, Nevada, on the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
