This Week in Roadrunners Athletics
DENVER -- It's another action filled week in MSU Denver Roadrunners Athletics with baseball, softball, track and field, and tennis all set to compete over the next six days.
Baseball, softball, and both tennis teams will be at home over the weekend, all playing at the Assembly Athletic Complex. Baseball will be playing at the complex but will be considered the away team for the series with Colorado Christian.
BASEBALL
Friday, 4/11: MSU Denver vs. Colorado Christian (6 pm MT)
Saturday, 4/12: MSU Denver vs. Colorado Christian (3 pm MT)

Sunday, 4/13: MSU Denver vs. Colorado Christian (Noon MT)
Head coach Ryan Strain and his team are coming off a perfect weekend at home, where they took down fellow RMAC opponent New Mexico Highlands in all four games. The team is now 19-15 and 11-5 in conference play thus far.
Sophomore pitcher Drew Peters was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week after an incredible performance Monday afternoon against New Mexico Highlands. He went six innings, allowing no earned runs and three hits. He also struck out 10 batters, the second-most for a Roadrunners starter this season.

Annie Van Wetzinga and her squad are also fresh off a four-game sweep over Regis this last weekend on the road. The Roadrunners still currently sit at second place in the RMAC standings with a 31-9 (26-5 RMAC) overall record, as Colorado Mesa is in first with a half-game lead. Colorado Mesa and Colorado Christian will play each other this weekend in what could be a huge shake up in the standings in favor of the Roadrunners.
Alexia Boring was also named the RMAC's softball player of the week after her stellar performance in the batter's box over the weekend during MSU Denver's four game sweep over the Regis Rangers. It marked as Boring's first player of the week honor in her collegiate career.
She went 7-for-14 with four home runs, five runs, 10 RBIs, and one walk. Also recorded her first multi-home run game of the season during her teams 14-3 win over Regis on Sunday and had a season-high five RBIs as well.
TENNIS

WOMEN Saturday, 4/12: MSU Denver vs. CSU Pueblo (10 am MT)
Head coach Bruno Campos and his two squads will play their final regular season matches this weekend before heading into the Pacific West Conference Championships the following weekend.
Each team has struggled as of late, with both riding a three-match losing streak and will look to get back in the win column during their final home match of the season.
Both the men and women will play Colorado Mesa on Friday afternoon, while the women will also square off with CSU Pueblo the following day at 10 a.m. MT.
TRACK AND FIELD
Thursday, 4/10-Saturday, 4/12: Jo Meaker Classic and Multi
Saturday, 4/12: Kit Mayer Classic
Head coach Janis Christopher and her squads will compete in two meets in the coming days. They will start with the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi meet in Canyon, Texas, tomorrow afternoon and then will head down to Golden Saturday afternoon for the Kit Mayer Classic..
Junior Paige Tack earned the second-best time in program history for the 5k event on the women's side last weekend at the Mike Fanelli Classic. Tack ran a time of 17:32.26, placing her second in the record books.
