@MSUDenverVB: Anderson earns AVCA First Team All-America Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Five Roadrunners were named AVCA All-America, including a first team honor for senior outside hitter Riley Anderson.

Junior Annika Helf was named to the third team, while sophomore Kryssa Moerman, freshman Alyssa Boytee and senior Maddy Williams were named honorable mention. 
 
This is the third AVCA All-America award for Anderson, who was named to the third team in 2022 and to the second team in 2023. 
 
Anderson was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Player of the Year and the South Central Region Player of the Year by the AVCA and the D2CCA. 
 
Anderson was fourth in the RMAC in points per game, third in total kills and fifth in kills per set. She was a six-rotation player that contributed on all fronts recording 386 kills with a .294 hitting percentage, 203 digs and added 75 blocks. 
 
Williams picks up her second AVCA All-America honorable mention nod. The outside hitter also earned All-RMAC honors and All-Region honors. Williams finished third on the team with 235 kills, while hitting .284, and finished third in blocks with 104.
 
Helf, who was also named All-RMAC and All-Region, earns her first AVCA All-America Award. She had won the 2023 NJCAA All-America award in her time with Northeastern Junior College. Helf was second on the team in kills with 313, second in service aces with 41 and second on the team in digs with 220.
 
Moerman also earned All-RMAC and All-Region honors this season and picks up her first AVCA All-America honor. She finished second in the RMAC in hitting percentage (.375) and fourth in total blocks (132).
 
Boyte, who also was named All-RMAC and All-Region, earns her first AVCA All-America honor. The middle blocker flourished in her freshman season leading the RMAC in blocks with 159 and fourth in hitting percentage at .352.
