@MSUDenverVB: Roadrunners Win RMAC Tournament Title

DENVER – The No. 1 seed MSU Denver volleyball team defeated No. 6 seed Colorado Christian 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament title.

DENVER – The No. 1 seed MSU Denver volleyball team defeated No. 6 seed Colorado Christian 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament title.
 
Riley Anderson was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament with Delaney Eckhardt, Alyssa Boyte, and Abbie McCrimmon joining her on the 2024 RMAC All-Tournament Team.
 
Anderson had a match-high in kills with 13 and Maddy Williams tallied 10.  Eckhardt dished out 23 assists and served two aces.  McCrimmon led the team in digs with nine and Kryssa Moerman assisted on seven blocks.
 
MSU Denver controlled the match from start to finish and won each set in convincing fashion by scores of 25-12, 25-13, and 25-19.  The Roadrunners outhit the Cougars .419 to .055 in the match.  MSU Denver tallied a total of 10 blocks in the match compared to none by Colorado Christian.
 
MSU Denver never trailed in the first or second set.  The third set was a back-and-forth affair until the Roadrunners took control at 15-15 and scored 10 of the final 14 points to finish the set and clinch the championship.
 
The Roadrunners have an overall record of 27-2 on the season.
 
The victory cliches an automatic bid for the Roadrunners to the NCAA DII Volleyball Tournament for the 24th straight time.  This is also the second RMAC Tournament title for the Roadrunners in the last three years.
