Three former Roadrunners will be inducted into the RMAC Hall of Fame

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Hall of Fame Class on Wednesday and it features three former Roadrunners in Debbie Hendricks, Brandon Jefferson and Joel Smith.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Hall of Fame Class on Wednesday and it features three former Roadrunners in Debbie Hendricks, Brandon Jefferson and Joel Smith.
 
Debbie Hendricks was the Roadrunners volleyball head coach for 16 years and recorded an impressive 353-148 record. She holds an astounding .800 winning percentage in RMAC play sporting a 240-60 record. She won three regular season championships, six conference tournament championships and helped the team reach the NCAA Tournament in all 16 of her years at the helm. 
 
Brandon Jefferson was a men's basketball standout, which culminated being named the 2013-2014 NCAA Division II National Player of the Year. He finished his Roadrunners career ranked third all-time in scoring, third in 3-pointers made, first in made free throws, fourth in steals, ninth in assists and first in minutes played. The Roadrunners were 115-18 during Jefferson's time on the court and led the program to three straight RMAC Tournament titles. He also was an integral part of the 2012-2013 team that reached the Division II National Championship game. 
 
Joel, J.R., Smith started his Roadrunners career as a student assistant from 1985-1987 before being promoted to coordinator of athletic development. His duties included fund raising, game operations, facilities, travel and budget. He was then promoted to assistant athletic director in 1990, where he oversaw compliance, sports information, equipment and business operations. Smith left Metro State in 1996 to become the athletic director for fellow RMAC school Fort Lewis. Smith earned his bachelor's degree at Metro State in 1987 in history and marketing. 
 
The RMAC Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at the Colorado Springs Marriott on Thursday, July 10. Doors will open at 5 p.m. mountain time and the ceremony will start at 6 p.m. Tickets will be available soon at RMACSports.org/Tickets.
