- Apr 251:00 PMAcademic Skills Workshop Series (Translating Academic Skills into Workplace Success--and Vice Versa!)It can be easy to think of being a “working student” solely in terms of the challenges of balancing so many competing demands as a student, employee, and all the other roles many MSU Denver students hold. However, skills gained in the workplace –whether on-campus work or off-campus—can actually promote student success in the classroom. Similarly, the skills that help students succeed as students can also make them better employees. In this workshop, students will gain an appreciation for how being a working student can be beneficial, enrich their resume, provide professional and personal development, and otherwise be an asset both in the classroom and workplace!
