This one-hour workshop will provide an overview of conflict resolution skills. Participants will be able to identify and know how to approach conflict in a restorative way, how to engage students/colleagues in de-escalating situations, and practice their skills using case studies. There will be a dual focus on responding to our own conflicts/harms, as well as strategies for how to intervene in situations that we encounter or are brought to us. Join us for our second Lunch and Learn of the fall semester! We need to do better for survivors and their children. This workshop will provide information on the prevalence of the issue in the US and best practices for supporting survivors and their children on micro, mezzo, and macro levels through a lens of professional experience utilizing examples from research.
