@MSUDenverTennis: Roadrunners Fall to Point Loma in Consolation Bracket

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Eighth-seeded MSU Denver was beaten 4-0 Friday by fourth-seeded Point Loma (Calif.) in the consolation bracket of the Pacific West Conference's men's tennis tournament.

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Eighth-seeded MSU Denver was beaten 4-0 Friday by fourth-seeded Point Loma (Calif.) in the consolation bracket of the Pacific West Conference's men's tennis tournament.
 
Marco Jalalian/Jeanloup Auzias were 6-2 winners at No. 1 doubles, but Point Loma won the other two matches to capture the doubles point.
 
In singles, Jalalian (No. 3) and Maximo Lawlor (No. 4) each won the first set of their matches, but Point Loma earned three other victories to clinch the match before Jalalian or Lawlor were able to finish – both were trailing in the second set.
 
MSU Denver once again played without nationally-ranked No. 2 singles player Juho Kantola.
 
The Roadrunners (9-13) close their season with another consolation dual on Saturday against seventh-seeded Hawaii-Hilo, beginning at 9 a.m. MST.
