DENVER - Jesse Velders has been named the RMAC's Baseball Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
DENVER - Jesse Velders has been named the RMAC's Baseball Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
Against Adams State this past weekend, the senior went 6-for-13, scored eight runs, had nine RBI, and was walked four times. After hitting his first two home runs of the season against the Colorado School of Mines two weeks ago, Velders came out swinging and added four more to his stat sheet during the four-game set.
Velders is currently batting .397 with 31 hits, 21 RBI, six home runs, four stolen bases, and an OBP of .529 for the season.
The Roadrunners will be back at home this weekend, where they will take on New Mexico Highlands in a four-game series starting on Friday.
