@MSUDenverTennis: Roadrunners men's team begins season with close victory
Box Score 1 KEARNEY, Neb – The Roadrunners men's tennis team began their 2025 spring season with a 4-3 win over Rockhurst on Friday. The women's team fell 7-0 to the Hawks.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the men's team was able to pick up singles victory from the No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles performers.
Lluc Limongi Ollers earned the win for the red and blue defeating the Hawks No. 1 player by a final of 3-6, 7-6, 10-8.
Marco Jalalian took care of business in No. 3 singles by earning the 6-4, 6-2 victory.
In No. 4 doubles, Alessandro Munoz rallied down 6-1 to earn the 1-6, 7-6, 10-3 win.
And Hector Cebrian Moral defeated the Hawks No. 6 singles player 3-6, 7-5 and 10-6.
Despite a No. 2 doubles win by Hanna Haber and Monica Guarin (6-4), the rest of the Roadrunners failed to find victories in the 7-0 defeat.
Both teams are right back into the thick of it tomorrow, as they will take on the Lopers from Nebraska-Kearney.
