Join us to share the importance of rest and explore some strategies to build restful practices into our busy lives. Sacred Rest, by Saundra Dalton-Smith Permission to Rest, by Ashley Neese Rest Is Resistance: A Manifesto, by Tricia Hersey We do not have review copies of these books. Instead, all of these authors have numerous podcast and video interviews easily found online, a few of which are listed on our book discussions website, for those who would like to explore these books before our discussion.
- May 1911:00 AMCTLD Celebration of Faculty - Fourth AnnualJoin us in celebrating faculty who have worked with the CTLD over this past year. These instructors have done the important work of improving their teaching, their courses, and their impact on students at MSU Denver. Join us as we gather to recognize the following folks (and more): Instructors who have completed the ACUE Effective Teaching Practices certification this year. We will have an ACUE pinning ceremony in which department chairs or deans are invited to place pins on the newly-certified instructors. Instructors who have completed a course project with the Instructional Design Team. Special recognition will be given to four instructors (two from the Spring 2024 cycle and two from the Fall 2024 cycle). Faculty who participated in pedagogical/andragogical work: Roadrunner Faculty Academy (RFA), Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs), CTLD Peer Associates, Roadrunner Instructor Training (RIT), Instructional Accessibility Workshops, and more. Lunch will be provided. Vendor TBA. Save the date and join us in celebration of this excellent work. Space is limited. Please register for this event ASAP to attend in person.
