She has been a volunteering docent at the Black American West Museum since completing her African American Studies program in 2008. Her deep understanding of the history of this area is nothing short of amazing. Terri is a proud advocate of African American heritage which she mainly gets to do as a volunteer Docent at the Black American West Museum. Terri has been instrumental to the success of the Black American West Museum. At the museum, she gets to teach visitors about many unsung heroes, who are just a few of the thousands of African Americans who have been fighting and paving ways for black America. Terri also sits on the board of directors for the museum.

This groundbreaking study, led by the Black Coloradan Racial Equity Study Commission, focuses on key areas impacting Black communities in Colorado, including: Access to Asset and Wealth Building: Addressing generational wealth disparities. Housing: Examining the legacy of redlining and barriers to homeownership. Criminal Justice/Policing: Highlighting racial disparities in policing and sentencing. Health Care: Tackling health inequities and outcomes. Education: Exploring access and quality in K-12 and higher education. In partnership with History Colorado, this study aims to determine if state practices are contributing to these inequities, with recommendations for actionable change following its completion. Learn more about this pivotal study, its goals, and how it seeks to foster justice and equity for Black Coloradans.

He has been featured on Channel 7, Rocky Mountain PBS several times, and multiple podcasts. In addition, he has been a panelist at several agricultural conferences and summits. He sits on the CDA Water Quality Advisory Committee and the Steering Committee for Healthy School Meals. Terrance is passionate about making quality protein available to low income and low access communities. He is married with 3 children and chose the life and environment of ranching.
