- May 712:00 PMAsian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Student Support WorkshopThe experience of being Asian in America varies tremendously. But some commonalities can play an important role in shaping patterns of well-being within our APIDA community. Shared cultural values and experiences, family and community connections, and the practice of rich and varied cultural traditions can be invaluable sources of strength and support. However, the shared experience of confronting stereotypes, intergenerational tension, identity concerns, and racism can also present significant challenges. In partnership with the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion (CMEI), this monthly workshop is aimed at providing a safe and supportive space where APIDA students can come together to share our stories and gain strength through community.
