Accessibility Bytes are 30-minute virtual workshops run by the Instructional Accessibility Group in the CTLD to briefly discuss proactive accessibility with regard to instruction and guidance and information about accessibility and disability within the MSU Denver culture. This session discusses best accessible practices when creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations.

The Auraria Sustainability Program spearheads this event event annually. The Health Center will be working in partnership along with several other campus partners, providing a series of food security & homelessness resources. This three-day event (Nov 19-21st) will include an array of activities such as free haircuts, free food, a cooking demo, a planting station, free resources and so much more!

This 75-minute discussion will feature faculty experts from across disciplines exploring how AI is reshaping knowledge, creativity, teaching, learning, and what it means to be human. Discover how we can grapple with these advancements and leverage them to enrich our understanding of the human experience

Who? Faculty of any type as well as any staff who want to get a significant amount of writing done in the fall. What? A sit-down-and-write group, also known as a shut-up-and-write group, made possible by Faculty Affairs, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the CTLD. The first 20-30 minutes will feature goal-setting, accountability, and productivity exercises and discussions. The last 90 minutes (MINIMUM) will be us writing. That’s right (write!): participants will write on their own projects, supported and inspired by the writing of others. When? Thursday afternoons from 2-4, beginning 8/29 and continuing through 12/5 Where? The kick-off will be on 8/29 in the CTLD with remote participation possible. All meetings will be hybrid, so you can show up in person or online. Why? Tons of research on writing productivity supports the idea that writing in community (also known as body doubling) is a powerful strategy for getting more writing dwone. You’ll get accountability and a sense of shared purpose.

As part of the 2024-25 Student Success Launch, the Experiential Learning for All Working Group is seeking feedback from faculty members engaged with experiential learning efforts across campus to participate in a feedback forum to examine experiential learning and help us develop identifiable criteria for what this looks like in course work across MSU Denver. Roadrunner 3R: Advanced is a live, scenario-based training that builds on learning from Roadrunner 3R: Basic.  The Basic course or other similar training is highly encouraged as a prerequisite for the Advanced training.  You will have the opportunity to consult with representatives from the Counseling Center, Dean of Students Office and Health Center at Auraria about previous or current situations and how best to apply early intervention skills.
